Ordered a professional products harmonic balancer for my 1993 ford mustang LX from LMR. After 4 days of shipping here is what I got balancer that looks nothing like pics in a white box with professional products part numbers all over it.
Called Jason at LMR about issue and of course "email me pics" received email JMac will call me about issue.
Well I went out on my own and called professional products to find some kind of answers and spoke to Alex at professional products. He was kind and sent me email of what comes with part number I ordered and contents in box and pics of box.
So I described to alex color of box balancer was in, extra parts on box, and engraved part number on balancer and part number on box. Well he lets me know that is a pro comp balancer that professional products has nothing to do with but was stumped when he saw his part number on box!
So just want everyone out there be aware you are receiving what you are paying for and question their ethics or practice!
I don't think I would be making big stink of this but the fact that they used and stamped on box professional products part number tells me they LMR are aware and know they are selling and shipping CRAP!! All i asked and wanted is what I paid for now I received this so now 4 days to ship back and get my money back, so that is 4 days lost without my car.

People make mistakes man, and LMR is a good company to buy from. My guess is a product label was placed on the wrong box by accident. You should probably stop buying online now if you think that was a big problem.

It was no mistake in my opinion! Look at pics of box, LMR is using Professional Products part number as well to push their own line!

Here is email pic from Alex Carrill at professional products he emailed me.
He said if you order a professional products balancer this is how it should be packaged and should only contain these items, balancer should also be engraved with part number ordered and set of instructions as well.

I've spent thousands of dollars at LMR and have nothing but good comments about their company. Sorry you had a bad experience. Oh and I'd buy a Pioneer balancer over a pro products. Better quality piece IMO. And I wouldn't let one mediocre experience turn you off from their company. But each their own.

Thank A5literman for your recommendation. I may just buy that balancer if LMR can't resolve this matter!

@aztecgwynn

I'm with 5liter. I've bought so much stuff from LMR It wouldn't surprise me to get a birthday card from them. What happened with your situation was probably someone looking at parts to compare them, and getting them mixed up boxing them back up. OR, someone jacked them on a return by sending back the wrong part and it got shipped back out to you. They really are a great company, I've bought a malfunctioning part from them and they immediately sent me a new one before i even dropped the bad one in the mail. I called once about a part the postal service was running behind on, and they OVERNIGHTED me another and said to keep the first part if it ever arrives. The one and only reason that will ever keep me from buying from LMR is if i need something they don't have. Great company.

Same thing here, I had an alternator go bad a couple weeks after I installed it, called them and they had one in the mail before I had the old one out. I've had a couple minor issues with orders, but nothing that would keep me from using them.

I'mm not understanding why you are bashing them without giving them the opportunity to make it right. I've bought $1000's from LMRS and they have always treated me right.

What did LMRS do for you to resolve the issue.

Reason I'm questioning ethics is look at box that was sent, and please look at part number on box.
I ordered a professional products balancer for 93 5.0. And this is what I got it was not a professional products balancer like I paid for and second why did it have a professional products part number on it and claim it was a professional products balancer?
That is why I contacted Alex at professional products to verify if this was there product and Alex verified me it was clearly not!!!

I am sure they will but my comment or concern is I ordered a professional products balancer part number 80007
And somehow LMR sent me a pro comp 80007 or house brand balancer that I did not order,

Look, there are enough people here to tell you how great this company is, you should take it to heart and chill out. They are not trying to screw you, or pull one over on you, or be dishonest in any way. They care way, way too much about their reputation for customer service to do that. YOU are making a huge deal out of a simple mistake. Take that to the bank.

I've had my ups and downs with them. In the end they do their best. Customer satisfaction is their strong point.

Just to be clear, you ordered crap and you were shipped crap.
It just happens to be different crap that you received.
This is a blessing in disguise.

I'd either stick with a ford racing stock balancer (like $70) or go high quality like romac, ati, etc. Never seen or used pioneer, but if these guys like them and stand behind their suggestion that could be good too.
I've never seen anything come from professional products that i would use. And i've certainly known people with issues with their balancers.

I've use a Pioneer 872030 Balancer on several cars. Woody recommends them as well. Not a Romac or ATI, but no complaints at all.
