Question on aluminized bassani midpipe..

Well today i was told that the aluminized Bassani X dont come in the 5 piece version(X pipe with removeable cats and offroad legs) like the stainless steel. Anyone know if this is true??

My bassani x-pipe with cats came in five pieces and it is aluminized. I ended up not using the cats that bassani sent with the x-pipe, I upgraded to a better quality high-flow converter.

I see your from cali. If your in Southern Cali call up Modular Mustang Racing. That's where I got my x pipe from. The prices were similar.

Yeah they have it at their storage place. Got it to me in a day. Just drove over and picked it up. Since I was there I had them install it for me too.

I checked and it is 3 pieces. 2 pipes with cats and the X.

I thought it was 2 pipes with cats, the X and 2 pipes that connect to the mufflers. whoops.

The aluminized kit is a 3 pc. kit. The cats are welded to the front header pipes that connect to the rear x-pipe section.
The ss is a 5 pc. kit. It includes the offroad legs to put in place of the cats. Also the stainless x-pipe uses the better "bullet style" cats.

can it be turned into a 5 piece?? for example cut the cats from the header piece and make sum custom made offroad legs just like the stainless steel??

I think SLP sells the off road pipes seperately. You could buy those and modify them to fit the Bassani. Or you could have an exhaust shop make some for you.
