Quick question on my 04GT...car has 7000 miles on it and runs flawlessly but I noticed something last night! When out for a drive I dropped the hammer a couple times for the first time in ages (car is beyond babied by the wife). When I parked her I found some heavy black dry soot on the tips which was not present before the drive as I had just cleaned it. I then later cleaned the tips and went for another "normal" drive, upon returning there was no soot deposits to be found in side the tips..they were clean but just typical condenstion. I was wondering is this normal for the car to discharge maybe build up in the exhaust system when the RPM's climb? Is it possible the high rpms blew out build up higher in the system built up from being driven easily...kind of cleaned out in a sense? There was always very very little soot on the interior of the exhaust tips until this and the car does not use a drop of oil nor does the milage seem off.
