I'm putting on a UPR o/r X-pipe this weekend on my 01GT. The pipe actually comes in two pices. Should I asemple the pipe before I put it on, or should I connect the two pieces to the headers in front first, then to the catbacks, and then connect the one piece in the middle of the pipe? I'd rather just do it right the first time if at all possible....

Thanks in advance.

I connected mine to the headers first. then to the catback. Then connected the x pipe. Don't tighten any bolts tight until you have everything lined up. Once everything is lined up and has good fitment tighten down everything good. You will love that pipe, i sure do. the fitment and quality is awesome. And the sound is unreal!

I just saw in your sig that you have 40 series flowmasters. I have the exact setup you do, UPR x pipe with 2 chamber flows. Better warn your neighbors...its gonna be LOUD!

Also...you need a foot long extension, and a swivel. Make sure you have those before you go at it!

Thanks for the heads up. I was actually wondering what type of extension I'll need. I'm pretty sure my buddy has one, otherwise we'll run to the toolshop.

Also about how it sounds with the flows, you're telling me exactly what I want to hear. I don't have anything bad to say about the MRT H, but I've wanted to get an o/r pipe for a while. I knew the next pipe I was going to get would be an X, so he UPR sounded like the best one for the buck.

I'm hyped. Thanks again

Another guy with UPR X/Original 2 chamber flows welded in. Very loud, very mean, have gotten nothing but compliments on it. Some rasp at mid rpm, but the overall tone is very vicious(sp?)
