Questions about 5-speed swap.

Im driving a 91 GT now with an AOD in it, but I miss having a 5 speed. I have a wrecked 89 GT sitting around with a T-5 and im getting ready to swap it. Just wondering if anyone knows any tricks to the swap before I get started. Any help would be appreciated.

make yourself a list of everything you will need. And check it off as you get it and get it installed.

here are some of the items you will need

pilot bearing
clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing
clutch cable
clutch quadrant
clutch pedal assembly

note: you can use same double hump cross member
same transmission mount
you can even run same driveshaft if need be

you will also need shifter, console shifter plate, shifter boot/knob, etc...

remember to install the pilot bearing in the back of the crank...and that you will possibly need a starter for the standard trans?? (not sure on this one)

heck thats all I can think of but will update if i think of anything else.
