Can a 5.0 with a stock bottom end and approximately 100,000 miles handle being supercharged or turboed and still be reliable. Basically what I am asking is can you take a stock 5.0 slap a supercharger or turbo on it with the other necessary parts like injectors, timing, etc and have a reliable daily driver? Or is it imperative to forge the bottom end?

Definately, just keep the boost levels reasonable. It wouldn't be a bad idea to check the compression first either.

100k miles for a 5.0 is just getting broken in -- unless it's been mistreated you shouldn't have any troubles. And unless you crank up the pressure, with stock heads you're probably only looking at 300-320 rwhp anyway, which is trivial for the bottom end to handle. It's really RPM that you should worry about (keep it under ~6000).
