Questions about CAI

Aluminum actually has a high specific heat capacity. Therefore it will take more heat to raise the temperature of aluminum than say cast iron, copper, mercury, tin, zinc and so on. Unfortunately, aluminum will dissipate heat slower than all the other metals previously mentioned. The plastic intake will dissipate heat much better than the aluminum.

As a matter of fact if weight was not such a major factor, it would be much more advantageous to run a copper radiator.

RGS, it is per gram not kg.

Hey, in the sticky on "how to" there is a link to a homemade cai.
I did it with a cost of 25.00 from Lowes, 3" tube, rubber connectors, etc. I did it in pvc tube. It really works good. I got a sotp feel from it with my stock type k&n.
