Where is the cheapest place to get Magnaflow Mufflers? What is the difference between Magnaflows and Magnapacks? I DO NOT want a chambered muffler. Do I need Magnaflows or Magnapacks?

Thanks guys!

If you don't want chambered, you want the packs. It's gonna be loud as hell.

I thought Magnapacks were chambered, whereas Magnaflows were Straight through?

The Magnapacks are straight through and the Magnaflows are a chambered design. My biased opinion would be to get the packs because when it is coupled to an off road pipe, the sound is bad @ss!

both magnaflow and magnapacks are straight through design...the difference is that there is more "padding" around the flow tube in the magnaflows, which makes them more quiet. The magnaflows have a rectangular shaped case because of the extra padding (which they describe as something equilivant to lava rock) and the magnapacks are about 4 inch in diameter tubes

Both systems are "straight through". Before I installed my magnaflows I could look through the muffler.

I think the difference is the path and the amount of "packing" inside the muffler. The magnapacks are essentially a exhaust pipe with a bunch of fiberglass packed around the pipe. The path the gasses travel don't take any turns in the muffler.

The flows however, are of the same design. The only differences is they are shaped like a traditional muffler and have much more "packing" fiberglass in the casing. The gasses also travel in a loose "S" formation through the muffler.

Thanks for the feedback guys... My local exhaust shop recommends Magnaflows over Magnapacks with my O/R X pipe. Does that sound right?
