i have a 2001 gt automatic all stock and i want to make it sound meaner and i wanted to know can you just buy these slp resonators and put them onto the stock exhaust? or do you have to buy a complete new exhaust system? i want to know because doing that would be alot cheaper since they are only about $140..
thanks..

you need the whole catback as the stock mufflers have an offset inlet/outlet

Yeah you can just get the resonators from American Muscle and have an exhaust shop weld them in. My buddy did it with his 02 gt , didnt look the best but it worked. They should make the car sound alot more agressive. Im putting them on my car in a few weeks hopefully along with some Mac LT's and a Prochamber.

well, lol. they sound great for about 3 months, then you get tired of getting headaches from driving. trust me, ive had them, had an o/r x and dumped. if you wantr loud, they are loud. you can make em work by either just runnin dumps, or havin an exhaust shop weld em in. trust me though if you drive every day they will get old, mine sure as hell did. lol

I drive mine everyday, with a Pypes O/R X pipe and SLP LM1 catback exhaust, its not that bad. It is loud when you really get on it.
