Questions on aftermarket parts

Once I square away clunking problem in car, I would like to change the exhausts, intake and suspension. Im looking for an exhausts that is stainless steel, quiet until you jump on it. As for the suspension I need to replace shocks and struts so any suggestion on making the car ride as performance poriented while maintaining comfortability would be awesome. I am new to mustangs, Where is the best place to order parts from?

Well as far as the exhaust goes, I have a Flowmaster Force II exhaust system, with the Super 40 series muffler on mine.
When I first turn the ignition, it has a nice "growl" to it, but doesn't completely drown out everything. Then when I go to stomp on the gas and pick up speed, you can really hear it get louder with a deeper tone. I really like this particular exhaust kit.
Soon I will be matching that up by putting in a K&N cold air intake, which will also help deepen the rumble.

By the way, I think your best bet after you choose the kind of exhaust that you want is to probably just check into a local dealer in your area. Or at least that's what I found was easier for me, because the purchase and installation is done all in a day. Maybe a little more pricey, but I thought it was worth it.

I went with the original SLP Loudmouths... they have a LM II which is supposedly quieter. I like the exhaust but it's a little loud at cruise speeds.... I'd look on youtube at sound clips to find the sound you like the best.

Exhausts, intake, suspension

I used to race NHRA stock eliminator with a 98 ss camaro so like i said Im not really familiar with mustangs. For the intake does it really make a difference if I put a cold air intake on it? If so what brand should I go with? I had Borla on my 93 z-28 which was an absolute nightmare. They fit horribly and they made alot of drone in the interior. My friend has Corsa on his 2004 vette and they are really quiet but when you jump on it, it growls like crazy. Thats kinda what im looking for. As for the suspension, I spent thousands of dollars on my drag suspension in my race car so Im not afraid to spend but I want something that hugs the road well but isnt too stiff. The reason I bought this car was because a few of my friends have cobras and gt's and I helped them install parts which seem to be so much cheaper then Camaro aftermarket parts. Im excited to see what I can do with this car. I would love to get it in the mid 13 range. What other bolt ons liven the gt's up?

You might check into Dynomax's VT line. It has an internal valve that closes during light-duty operation to keep drone down and which opens when you get into it for max flow. And apparently it flows quite well too:

I don't know anything else about them but am intrigued. I believe newer Corvettes come from the factory with similar internal valving to keep noise down (for Fed regulations) but to allow full power at WOT.

You want to run mid 13's? o/r mid pipe, mufflers, k and n drop in, steeda underdrive pulleys and some 410's with some stickies

Well, considering that there have been quite a few people with 99-04 GT's that have run high 13's stock, I'd say that high 13's with a bolt-ons and the average driver is certainly possible.

You don't even need that much. Save your money, don't buy the slicks just yet. Instead, use it to buy some time at the strip, and learn how to launch & shift. These cars can run 13s bone stock when driven well.
