Questions on C&L Plenum - thinking of buying

I am getting to the point where I will probably be getting this as my next mod. I have several questions:

1) Is there any danger that this plenum will lean my A/F ratio out and cause me to have to run higher octane gas to avoid pinging?

2) C&L's website says to get a 75 mm TB for any application, but some magazine testers say that the max used should be 70 mm for a mild setup (and I have a mild setup). Has anyone who has put this on a near-stock GT had any experience with both?

3) Any other advice to go with getting this part?

I recommend doing something else instead. Like mid pipe or gears.
I have plenum and tb, but I'd do them last if I could redo.

I agree, get a mid pipe first.

It doesn't run lean for me. Reset the computer and it learns.

I got 10hp from the C&L plenum and 75mm Accufab throttle body.

I have an accufab 75mm tb and plenum i just got like 2 months ago.. i traded the car in but i have the parts if your want that stuff i'll sell it to you for $300

we put one on my buddy's 03 gt, he already had a high flow x pipe, magnaflow catback, cai and 4.10's. the elbow and 75mm tb really woke the car up. it pulls like a son of a biotch in 4th gear like it never did before. headers and a custom diablo chip are waiting to be installed. i imagine this car should go very low 13's and possibly a high 12 with the new mods on a sticky tire and a good driver.

You'd be more happy with gears or a midpipe.

you really aren't going to feel it much until you put more into the car...go with something else for the $... you could probably get the Diablo Predator and get more power out of that...plus you'd be able to recalibrate with it later when you get gears and adjust your A/F and timing with each mod that you get if you decide you want to do that

I have a quick Q With the accufab Plenum what is the best t/b I can put on with it 75 or 70. I swear I read some where that with a 70mm t/b you need a 70mm plenum
Is this true. Becuase i was going to go with a 75mm t/b just wanted to know can you use either one with the plenum?

There is only one plenum size.

I would also agree that other mods would be more beneficial. Check out modulardepot.com for the plenum comparison, it is one of the reasons I chose the accufab over the c&L. I also think the 75mm tb is overkill on an mildly modded car. You actually lose low end torque, but with the replacement of the plenum at the same time this is minimized. A chip/ programmer would provide you the most noticable power.
