Ok well I finally got sick of my idle issues and oil leak from front lower intake and started pulling it apart tonight. For one found my vacuum leak, the rear ear on the upper intake is cracked right off. I need to decide now, its an edelbrock performer intake, should I try to get an rpm upper or just get this fixed at the machine shop. The current mods are the entire edelbrock performer power package (hci) long tubes, o/r x, magna packs, and 150 shot, on motor it made 302/322, with an off the shelf tune. I would of course like to get a bit more out of it on motor or should I just leave it be? What do you guys think?

If it was me, I'd just get it welded back together, unless I had $400 burning a hole in my pocket.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Same thing happened to me on the back right ear (facing the engine). The PCV connection joint was not screwed in enough on the intake and was hitting the valve cover when I torqued it down - snap!

It was a $40 fix at the machine shop. They had to mill it slightly to make it true again.

What symptoms did you have from the vacuum leak?

Well its not my dd so I have plenty of time to let it sit in my garage while I gather the parts. But if its not going to be a noticeable difference, ill just keep this intake on there. And yeah my guy at the machine shop said he could take care of it for me so not worried about being able to fix that.
