Questions on my alt. and ele. fan...

I noticed earlier today that my alt. is off of a '93 cougar! I believe its an 95 amp alt.!?! I see that they just cut-off the stock alt. plug and spliced on the cougar alt. plug.. I dont see any other "mods/upgrades" to the alt. wiring system.. Is that "healthy" for my wiring system?

Also, can I hold off on doing the 3g alt. swap "temporarily". With having the cougar alt. installed. When I install the mark viii ele. fan?

The stock wiring wasn't even sufficient for the stock alt. Upgrade.

A 95 amp alt probably wont be enough for a big E-fan on a DD (it will work but not well). And it will max out the alt and show any alternator wiring deficiencies.
