IMHO

28.5k for bare bones GT is not a bad price. Then incentives on top of that gets even better. The only thing I would be signing at this point would be something stating I gave a down payment for and that you're agreeing to a price and you can walk away if you want.

I also bought a bare GT. I don't need a load of options. I would've liked power seats but oh well.

At the end of the day if you look out in the garage and you love your car and are comfortable with your payments that's all that matters.

Cost on a basic 300a with a stick is $29,266. Add a couple hundred for profit then subtact $1,500 rebate, and if you order you can apply for the additional $500 mail in rebate. You can get as low as $27,466 after all rebates.

$30, 150 OTD

Funny thing is, when I was at the dealer today with my deposit, the sales guy came to me with the "final" price...there was a $250 DOC fee. I brought that up then the next price offer had it at $150.

If he had come to me with $30k OTD, I would have ordered. I kinda felt like that DOC fee, which is total BS, was sneaked in there....I walked, but he was really pushing their service, the good trade value they'd give me my car, etc.....

Why is the DOC fee BS? That fee pays for your DMV paperwork to be processed by the dealer. Believe me this is not something the dealer wants to do but rather something that is forced on dealers but the state. We'd just as soon sell you a car and let you take care of your own regristration needs. Save a lot of time and paperwork.

BTW, that's a great deal on the Mustang.

I recently special ordered my car. I gave a $500 deposit and we had already agreed and signed on a price. If he's telling you the price is up for negotiation after the car has arrived, you should run like the wind.

Credit/rebate will be based on time of delivery, however. My deal actually improved, they estimated 1.9% APR + $1,000 rebate when I ordered based on my credit score. It improved to $1,500 rebate at delivery.

Oh yeah and I'm obviously a troll on this forum [/quote]

The moral of the story is don't listen to anyone who thinks that "Anis" is a word.

People who can't operate a quote button with next to zero forum history are questionable as well.

Misuse of the quote button with next to zero forum experience does NOT compare to misuse of the english language with enough experience to be licensed to drive. Sorry, you failed at logic.

It applies very well when a genuine newb (that is you) attempts to call out a seasoned member of this forum (LAVAgt2012) as troll when you have no reputation to stand on. Continue, and I'll provide you the means necessary to try that tactic on another forum.

I kind of was just enjoying getting the rise out of him, so he has some troofs to his statement
