quick ? about heads

Hey Guys quick question,
Im gonna replace my valve cover gaskets and was thinking if im going all that route and the car has no rush to move or drive, i mine as well get heads on there.....BUut i was wondering about using the stock intake, could it be used with some thumper ported e7's w/o sealing problems. Or is the porting only effect the inside of the port??
I actually want to keep the stock intake.....mainly to keep the cost down and make the car appear stock as possible....

to be quite honest, i think you would be wasting your money getting thumper heads if you use your stock intake...those heads flow well, very well...and i would be willing to assume that a stock intake could not support that kind of cfm... im sure you wouldnt have a problem with sealing but you wouldn't have much of a performance improvement... if someone could supply flow numbers on a stock intake this would answer your question for sure...hope this helps...

don't stick a stock intake on a set of thumpers or ported E7's . The lower part of the runners on the lower intake are a huge choker and would be a big waste of $$. If you must stay with the stock intake which I also did with my ported E7's do what I did at the time to save myself some money. I went with a T-Moss ported lower/upper, 65mm TB and egr spacer, with 1995 mustang 70mm MAF upgrade you need to help the motor get more air in to support the mods, you could go 70mm TB also.

stock intake flows 140-150 cfms way less than a set of thumpers. A T-moss ported intake will flow in the range of 200- 220 cfms.

yah i figured it would choke up things......
im looking into gt-40's...so to do the bare min.
you need the
heads
new head bolts
intake manfilds(gt40,typhoon etc)
gaskets.....
