Do you think 235/45/r17 is the best looking size for a 17x8 rim for a 93 Vert? Or, if I go with a 245/45/17 I should not need a speedo gear change. I already have 3:55's and I changed the gear with my stock 16's
235 and 245 will have nothing to do with speedo readings. Those are the sizes of the width of the tires...(What touches the ground)...if you went 40-45-50-60, the heigth, then I would worry about speedo changes.

Ummm.... not exactly. The whole size figures into it.
245/45R17
245=cross section of the tire in millimeters
45=sidewall height expressed as a percentage of the cross section
R=radial tire
17=wheel diameter in inches
