Quick head gasket question. Which way do they go?

My Cometic head gaskets aren't labeled "front" like most head gaskets are, and I want to make sure I put them on the right way. I'm pretty sure I know how they go, but I want to double check. Anyone have a picture maybe?

dont know how those are made but on a normal one the front side has the 2 coolant passages blocked off to push the water to the rear of the block

Maybe you could take a picture of the gasket, it would be easier to help you out that way.

The tabs go towards the middle. And you will have two holes in the lower corners that slip over the dowels in the block.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure that 2002blgt is right, and the openings for the coolant passages go to the rear of the block. Here's a pic

The blocked off passages go toward the front. Just put my TW's on this afternoon, and the Fel-Pro's had the blocked passage end marked "front."

I would talk to Rick 91GT before installing those. I put them on my car last year and they are now leaking compression into my coolant system. He told me he coats them before installation or a year or 2 down the road you may experience what I am right now.

Just a heads up and worth a little investigating so you aren't doing it again.
