Put the car in gear (to keep the motor from turning over) and use a breaker bar with a socket and it will come loose.

What Rick said, but if for some reason that thing is just so tight take your breaker bar and put it down towards the driveway and just bump the starter. Its a good idea tohave a friend to help either bump the starter or hold the scocket on the bolt (you can use a long screwdriver to push against it. And as 88gt said make sure the large washer is out when using the puller. PS pull coil wire when bumping starter

I just used a Craftsman 1/2" drive ratchet and a lead hammer. Its literally an impact wrench, heh.

if you do the breaker bar and starter bump, make sure to take it out of gear (i would probably forget and leave it in gear. LOL). 5th gear has more mechanical advantage than 1st i think.
if you dont have the key on, but touch the push on connector on the solenoid to the battery lug of the solenoid, the car wont start anyways.
good luck.
