Putting a NPI intake on. My factory intake manifold had a factory "spacer" on between the intake manifold and TB/plenum. Do I need to put the old one onto my new intake manifold?

also, in the kit, it came with two spacers which were to be used with the thermostat housing, I haven't got that far as of yet, though could someone tell me quickly where these will go? Thanks

I have a feeling that I won't use the factory spacer due to it having a gaskte on each side, and my new intake already has a gasket. Which would make it Gasket to Gasket. I doubt that they'd make a gasket seal to another
