The bolts that hold the IAC into the plenum aren't going back in They are crossthreading and not allowing me to put them in fully which in return will lead to a pretty major vacuum leak . The plenum itself isn't allowing the bolts to go in easy so I need some ideas as to what to do

What are my options here? I need to get some info before the autopart stores begin to close so I can have the car for tomorrow

Should I go buy a tool to rethread the hole or what

That seems to be the best that I can think of as well. I was trying to convince myself to get an upgrade, though $5 vs $~$120 seems pretty simple to me.

Should I try a general store such as Wal-Mart or an auto store such as Autozone/Oreilys? I have never purchased one before

try autozone or another parts store they had one when i needed it, the only thing is i think you have to buy a kit not just one.

By chance do you remember the price of the kit? I am unsure of what size I need to get and so on The bolt is a 8mm, however I know that won't have anything to do with what I need. I don 't know how to determine the info that I need

Eventually

I tried messing with it a bit more then finally just gave up after tearing it up even worse. Had to use the tap a few times to finally get it ready for the bolts then it wasn't too bad at all.

It sucked having the car down over a damn bolt
