Quick Help with alternator

Where will the part number be on the alternator? Will it be visible without taking it off? Are all stock alternators motorcraft?

what years the car??.....are you replacing it? are you trying to figure out what alternator it is??
if it has the external fan blade looking thing on it it's most likely a 2g stocker as the 3 g's don't have the external metal fan blade..
