im getting some weld draglight 90 series rims and they require a shank style lugnut. can somebody tell me the right kind to get that'll fit our studs. its a 98 gt if that matters. thanks.

They are about 2 1/4 inch long, 1/2 x 20. AZ has them. make sure you get washers as well. Or get the lugs from where you purchased rims.

You need new lug bolts to be legal. You also need wheel spacers to get over the brakes. I originally went with 3 inch studs and 7/16 wheel spacers, but when the rules changed, I got 1/2 inch hubcentric/lugcentric wheel spacers from Maximum Motorsports. I also had to switch to 3 1/2 inch lugs, also from Maximum Motorsports.

if racing that is true, most tracks don't do a lot of checking around here unless sub 11s. The longer studs are better and not very hard to install.jimfitzgerald said:

If you're not racing, you don't need Welds. Only on the front to get over the front brakes. It's an NHRA requirement that the threads of your lug nuts (the hex portion) grab onto the lugs by a distance equal to the diameter of the lugs. It's a requirement at any NHRA track. Not only that, it may save your life or the life of the guy in the other lane.forpit2000gt said:
