Ive done this install twice but I forgot, do I need to put threadlock or antisieze on the lower intake bolts?

And where would you guys put the blue silicone? I havent gotten my gaskets yet but if the front and back gaskets are cork should I still put silicone on them? Or should I ditch them and just use silicone, what if there rubber? And I know to put silicone around the coolant passeges but should I do it on the head side and intake side or just the intake side?

anti-seize doesnt hurt so why not?

as for the sealant on the gaskets, i usually just put them around the water passages on the head and the intake (both sides of gasket)

and for the end seals, silicones doesnt hurt so why not?

I put a very thin coat of silicone on both sides. I also like to use thread lock on the threads if i'm not using a lock washer on top of a flat washer, but i don't think that you would have a problem with a dab of silicone there either.

Put nothing on the intake bolts. Clean up the threads on the bolts and chase the threads in the heads. That's all you should do. Have you ever read those stories from people who have broken intake manifolds but were using a torque wrench and proper techniques? It's because they lubbed the bolts. When you lube the bolts it makes them easier to turn and you can overstretch the bolts to the point of breakage before you reach the click on the torque wrench. Ford specs the bolt torque assuming the bolts will be installed dry. To get a lubbed bolt spec you would need to measure the dry bolt stretch and then install the lubbed bolts to the same stretch .

Chuck the cork gaskets and get a can of Permatex "The Right Stuff" and lay down a good 3/8" bead of it instead.

Put Permatex sealer around all of the water ports.

The Right Stuff is amazing! Its my new-found wonder sealant...love it. By cork, do you mean the "valley" gaskets between intake and block?
