Depends on the year of your car. I am not sure of the years but I think that pre 1994 might need the upgraded brake master cylinder. I installed them on my 2000 GT and they work great. Nice performance and great looks and an easy install. Since Ford has discontinued their upgrade kit, this is a nice upgrade and fit well inside 17" rims.

I also have a 2000 Mustang GT so if it worked for you then it will work for me. Thanks. BTW how much better are they compared to stock?

Night and day difference IMO. Just remember to bleed the setup and don't forget you might need to bleed the master cylinder in both places

Thanks for the info. My friend who is a mechanic at Mossy Nissan is going to help me so I dont screw up and kill myself. I have most of the same mods as you and was curious if you have any track times.

Pretty easy install.. your stopping power will be 100% better with that kit...as stated above, night and day difference and definitely, definitely bleed all brakes AND your master cylinder...

I am definately glad to hear that it is a big upgrade from stock because I drove the 2012 charger srt8 and 2012 camaro SS at the auto show and they had great stopping power and the pedal felt great. They have 4 piston brakes at each corner though. If the cobra brakes feel close to the stopping power of those, I will be happy.

I guess we can assume that you have a 96 to 04 car. With that said you do not need an master cylinder upgrade. You can actually install 00 cobra R brembos without an issue.

The kit LRS offers is actually the exact same calipers that the cobra, mach1 used as they are made by PBR. Essentially you are getting O.E. quality.

Keep this in mind. Your 15" spare will not fit over the new calipers. You'll need to go to the Cobra style spare or get a 5th wheel.
