Hello all, long time no talk!

This weekend I'm picking up a couple things (ZEX kit, Borla Stingers to replace my GTAs) and one of them is a WMS intake with tray. Currently I'm running a JLT. After really thinking about it, besides being visually more appealing IMO, is the WMS better than the JLT? Is the billet mass air meter on the WMS bigger than the JLT? is the WMS overall better? Should i just stick with the JLT? Do I sound like the end of an old Batman Episode? lol any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the WMS and will be switching to a "conventional" intake when I get the chance. You can get the increased MAF for it, but the short, straight flow into the TB design isn't the best (told by Doug at Bamachips). I love the way it looks though

I'd go with the JLT, the dyno sheets prove its performance. The WMS is a neat concept that unfortunately suffers from the restrictions of its designs particularly in the MAF department.

I have been running the WMS CAI since I bought the car in 2005. Started out with just CAI and a tune, in 06 installed a Saleen Series VI
upgraded the original mass tube from 80mm to the 95mm. 3.6 pulley
39 lb injectors. Dyno'd 440 to the wheels on a Mustang dyno. Never a Hiccup with the WMS. I too think it's a great looking setup especially on the end of a Saleen SC

I was told by the tech that Dyno tuned my car that the JLT is the best out there as far as performance gains (in his opinion of course). I will be changing my K&N for the JLT in the not to distant future.

In real life, there is probably no noticeable difference in CAIs. If we assume that a JLT gives an increase of 20 rwhp and that the WMS is 10% less, that is only 2 rwhp. And on a car that is 255 rwhp (stock), that is less then 1%.

My only point here is that you shouldn't make decisions based on a partial picture, you need to take a look at the complete picture.

I have a WMS and love it. I wouldn't think of changing to a different CAI and spending another $200 (and probably you'll want to get a refreshed tune for the different CAI).

Go with what you like, so you won't have regrets later.

I too think it's a great looking setup especially on the end of a Saleen SC

Looks killer. I notice you have a Outerwares cover for the filter. I have a red one I put on for shows.

Something to consider. You mention adding a Zex kit. Where are you going to locate the nitrous nozzle ? I have a WMS, but I use an Edlebrock nitrous plate that mounts behind the throttle body. The only place I can think to mount a nozzle is in the billet mass air meter housing. It is thick metal and may interfere with the mass air meter. Something to think about.

Well decided to pass on the WMS. Thought about it more and since I'm going Turbo spring of next year I thought I should just save some money.

You guys brought up very valid points too, ao once again Stangnet does not dissapoint. Instead I ended up buyin some MT ET Street Slicks w/ 05 GT rims from a local guy on craigslist. Thanks again friends!
