anyone know the correct fel pro gasket kit for a 306 w/ tfs heads and gt 40 upper lower? i want to regasket my entire motor before i drop it into my notch. thanks!!
Fel pro 1011-1 head gaskets are what Rick 91GT told me to use when I do my gaskets over. Use a fel pro 1250 lower manifold gasket, use a blue fel pro 1 piece oil pan gasket with the fel pro timing cover and 2 water pump gaskets. The 2nd water pump gasket doesn't come in the kit so you have to buy it seperatly at a good parts store.
You are going to have to buy the gaskets seperate. It is the best way.
The gaskets that come in a set are usually just stock replacement gaskets.
I have always had good luck with the factory Ford Graphite head gaskets and Felpro 1250 intake gaskets along with Felpro 1415's for the exhaust and the 1 peice rubber oil pan gasket as mentioned.
I would just get my front motor gasket set from a local parts store and be done with it.
Also don't forget a new rear main seal while you are there. The front one comes with the front kit.
