Hey guys, Just making sure these pistons and lifters are right. I'm doing the Trick Flow top end kit on my '86 and just want to make sure. I'm having the block bored .030

Pistons:
Trick Flow Specialties TFS-51404000 - Trick Flow® Forged Pistons

Lifters:
Ford Racing M-6500-R302 - Ford Racing Hydraulic Roller Lifters

Also, something just came up and has me wondering...This is the original motor out of the car I'm building, so is it an HO motor or not? If not, do I need to worry about anything since I'm building it anyway or should I use the 1988 302 I have in the car right now? ( I would rather use the 86 motor )

Right, but from what I understand, the lifters are different and if its not a roller motor, than I can't just put roller lifters in it. The block has to be modified for them.

Does anyone know if this is right or not??

if theres two tapped holes in the center of the valley, its setup for the stock roller setup. easiest way to tell imo.

the lifters and pistons you linked to should work just fine, but i'd still check ptv clearance just in case.

Lucky me.....It's a roller motor!!! Only thing is, when I pulled the intake off it was pretty nasty in there. Motor definitely had water in it. The bottom side of the intake felt like mud. I guess the best thing now is to have the block X rayed or whatever, to check for cracks.
