I'm sure ya'll have seen me post this before, and I'm sorry if I'm annoying anyone but no one answered after I put pictures lol...

do these two scoops (these are the ones in front of the rear wheel on GT models) look different to anyone else? lol I need a new one, but everytime I find one it looks different lol.

I have an '89 Mustang GT Convertible. It appears it has a different line compared to the rest...maybe my eyes are just trippy lol

I don't know what the deal is with the xtra line, unless they where aftermarket crash parts one could get back in the day? I looked at all my mustang ref. books and older magazines and I don't see any GT's with ground effects with the line in them. The books make no refrence to changes to the ground effects after 87 save for the front fender extensions which are smaller due to the 16 wheel change in 1991-93 model years.

I looked at my 91 and my buddies 89 and our effects are the same as the one on the this pic...

I don't know what to tell you unless someone else knows something I don't, but doing some more research it doesn't get any better for your answer...no lines on these gt's,

1987..

1988..

1989...

1990..

1991..

I think you get the idea with the images, I don't see the line in any of them unlessI'm missing something myself. I don't know if this gets you anywhere though.

It's from the damage to the car, nothing more nothing less and you can 100% quote me on that! The one picture is exactly like yours other than the fact it wasnt hit.
