I searched and searched but can't find anything that definitively tells me the size of the fitting that screws into the radiator for the transmission coolant line. Does anyone know off the top of their head know both of these measurments for the threads in the radiator and the size tubing the fitting acccepts, i think its 5/16...I have to get a fitting this afternoon and my car is 30 miles from here...

I believe when I put the new one in my '65 it was a 5/16" Line fitting to 5/16" hose barb.

Ok, sounds like a winner, It really is going to benefit me none now that i found out my local auto zone don't carry fittings like that anymore. The fittings i have work, but they are awfully boogered up, would love to replace them with my new radiator. But I still appreaciate the proper size because I may try the tractor supply a few miles from here.

Either that or NAPA should have it.
