Since everybody here is so helpful with my car, I figured hopefully someone out there will know more than I do about wireless network. Or more specifically about turning on a radio card.

I set up a wireless network at work with a Belkin router and three ToughBook 18 laptops. Two of the three laptops found the wireless network with no problem...but the last one is being a bitch. The thing I think is the internal card is off. When I tried to change a setting I got a box that came up that said "The settings will change when the radio is turned on." Or something to that effect. Basically it told me that the radio card is turned off. I looked EVERYWHERE, and I can't figure out how to turn it back on.

I searched the internet and found a shortcut for Dell laptops, but I can't find diddly on the Toughbooks. Anybody have any clue where I should look next?

When you look at the internet connections what does it say? You should see the wireless device in that listing...

Sounds like the device is disabled. Can you go to "control panel ==> network connections" and confirm this?

My guess (without being able to look at the hardware) is that you will need to reboot, enter the bios settings, and activate the card.

If you do not find this device in the device manager or it is X'd out then give this a shot.
