Hey, I'm looking for a set of quiet mufflers for the stang. Right now I have BB Lt's, and H pipe, and 2 chamber flows and It is just too loud. The drone is annoying and it is just too loud for an every day car. Plus, I like the whole sleeper idea. I was thinking about putting stock mufflers but I figured I would ask on here first to see if anyone knows some quiet mufflers that still sound good when the time comes to open her up. Thanks guys

Edit: right now I have a pair of dynomax ultraflow welded mufflers coming in the mail because a friend of mine insisted that I would love them. But I think they might be too loud.

I'd say Dynomax Super Turbos or Magnaflows

I kinda like the sound of stock mufflers. It should be plenty loud with the LT's and h-pipe

I was going to suggest the Super Turbo's too.

If the Ultra Flows are too loud, the Super Turbo's will be a step down, and they arent TOO TOO much louder than stock.

Regular Magnaflows would sound good too, and they are fairly loud when you get on it.

AntiRice98:

I had UltraFlos (stainless) on my car before I went with a MagnaPack setup (since switched to MagnaFlows) and the UFs were nice. Barely louder than stock at idle, nice when driving around, and authoritative at WOT. They are straight-through but they have more insulation in the cases than MagnaFlows so they are quieter. Louder than stock but not a whole lot more. I liked them until I got the "loud is fast" bug, lol. The SuperTurbos will be quieter still and should minimize drone.

HTH,

Chris

I picked up two stock mufflers with tailpipes and Mach-1 tips (no flowtubes leading to the mufflers, and the tail-pipe was cut) for $50 for reference if you try to find some.

Is youre H pipe catted? If not this is where youre "loudness" is at, look into a catted midpipe and work from there.

Magnaflows are quiet for normal driving, then are moderately loud when racing. i like them. i don't like obnoxiously loud exhausts.

If you want close to stock, but a little better flow, find a Walker dealer
