quits running when driving

well im pretty stumped on this one.i have a new tfi arriving soon.if it was the tfi would i still get spark out of the coil wire. also this all started when i installed a spal fan and 160amp alt. do you think it could be a coinsident or could the fan and alternator be drawing to much juce and making the fuel pump relay go out or something else. i have to drive the car to figure it out, but i dont want to get stranded somewhere. right now it starts back up after 15 min. and then you can drive for two blocks then quits.

Sounds like classic TFI to me, but you can go through all the checklists and whatnot -- it might tell you for sure.

do you have spark when it wont start?

i have spark to the coil wire.but if its the tfi i would get spark there, wouldnt i. and not to the plugs?

this all started when i installed a spal fan,delta current controler and a 160 amp alt.could i have wired something wrong to be causing this. a machanic that i work with said something could be drawing to much juice. he's a forklift mechanic but a ford finatic. where should i start.
