My buddy says that he wants to get some 100 octane "race fuel" for his mach 1 on friday when we go to the track. He was telling me to get some, but I have my doubts it will even do anything, or will it?

i use 87 when i daily drive but when i know im going to the track i amost run out and put a couple gallons of 91 then on the way to the track i put in a couple gallons of 101 octane just for my nitrous use.

was that before or after the supercharger? hows that thing running? still put a smile on your face?

After the supercharger, I have 2 settings on the sct chip(never dynoed the 2nd setting since I had pump gas when dyno tuning). and yes it puts a big smile on my face at the Track, blow by most cars on the track. :D

Next week I'm getting a smaller pulley (up from 6psi to 9psi) and a SNOW Performance methanol/water boost cooler put in and a tune for 100 octane/torco fuel addative!! I think I will be done with the modding for a while after that.

unless you are blown and running high boost, spraying, or running super high compression it's not worth it.

It does not help even if you have a power adder unless you have a different tune or a handheld tuner that can tweak your tune on site.

It will add some extra protection against detonation if you are running a power adder.

It is a waste of money to put it in a car with no power adder. Heck, even putting premium in is a waste of money.
