My buddy says that he wants to get some 100 octane "race fuel" for his mach 1 on friday when we go to the track. He was telling me to get some, but I have my doubts it will even do anything, or will it?

Not unless you advance your timing. Not worth the $5 a gallon. I used up 3/4 tank of 100 octane on 70 miles at Sears Point. (that around $60)

unless you are blown and running high boost, spraying, or running super high compression it's not worth it.

what he said...... you'll be wasting your money. Even with advanced timing you shouldn't need any higher than 93 or so which you can usually buy at the pump.

After the supercharger, I have 2 settings on the sct chip(never dynoed the 2nd setting since I had pump gas when dyno tuning). and yes it puts a big smile on my face at the Track, blow by most cars on the track.

Next week I'm getting a smaller pulley (up from 6psi to 9psi) and a SNOW Performance methanol/water boost cooler put in and a tune for 100 octane/torco fuel addative!! I think I will be done with the modding for a while after that.

93 costs almost as much as race now. You can get race fuel here in NC for just over $3. 93 at Wal-Mart is $2.88. Go figure

It does not help even if you have a power adder unless you have a different tune or a handheld tuner that can tweak your tune on site.

It will add some extra protection against detonation if you are running a power adder.

It is a waste of money to put it in a car with no power adder. Heck, even putting premium in is a waste of money.
