i have a 94 mustang GT 5.0L. bone stock except for a zex 125 shot dry kit, cold air intake, 255lph bbk fuel pump, dual flowmaster 44's, and an offroad x pipe. i have always wanted to do drag racing, but i dont know if my car is worth taking to the drag strip. i dont want to go out there and race supercharged camaros that are putting out 600+ hp that will just kill me. i want to race people that are in the same ballpark that i am. does anyone know if there are any drag competitions out there for lightly modified cars?

go to a test and tune... see what it runs and find an index class it fits in.

its a budget minded heads up racing.

as for tire pressure. go get some slicks

Just get some drag radials, go to test and tune and have fun. There is no competition series for your car, you could bracket race though

I've taken my car to the strip a few times, and it (was) a low 14 sec car. No shame in it. Go to a test and tune and have fun.

gears are a must, especially with the nitrous. that's the biggest gain or the lowest amount of money.
