Why is your clutch noisy? Is your Throw out bearing failing?
The stock OEM flywheel is made of nodular iron just like that
Ford Racing in that link. The only difference is probably the weight
between the two.I have alot of experience with clutches and I have
seen what clutches hold up and witch ones don't.
First off the Ford Racing clutches aren't bad at all and a good bang
for the buck.If you are making 350rwhp or less then this is a clutch
to consider.Although with this clutch the clutch petal is stiffer than
the stock clutch pressure and is alittle hard depending on how you
adjust your clutch cable.
Me and my cousin both had bad experiences with Ram clutches.
Ram clutches are simply crap if you ask me.Me and my cousin both
had the Ram HDX clutches.Mine lasted 7K miles not even a year before it failed. The clutch disc on mine shredded.
The Ram HDX clutch on my cousin's 92 LX failed just after 5K miles of use
pretty pathetic if you ask me.Also we both replaced all of our bearings,
clutch was aligned properly, clutch cable was adjusted correctly, and
brand new flywheels were used.In my opinion don't buy a Ram clutch
save yourself the misery.I wish I listened to my cousin the first around.
I currently have a Centerforce Dual Fricition with just over 10K miles on
it.It holds up very well and graps hard.It even takes the abuse I give it
at the track.I go to the track once a month and do 3-5 passes each time.
Blue-stang make sure you replace your pilot bearing and throw out bearing
when you install your new clutch.I highly recommend installing a brand new
flywheel and not resurfacing your old flywheel. Also look into getting a aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster with your new clutch.Don't use
a aftermarket adjustable clutch cable make sure you get a stock OEM
Ford clutch cable they are the best choice.

Your welcome bro.
The input bearing retainer shim kit isn't really necessary.
The new pressure plate bolts would be a good idea.
New flywheel bolts are a must.
Also I recommend changing your transmission fluid of course
when you change your clutch.

I think the Ford Racing clutch kit and their matching nodular
iron flywheel will be a great combo for you aspecially if you
go to the track with your car.Don't forget to get a aftermarket
quadrant and firewall adjuster. The stock OEM clutch cable you
could get at your local Ford Dealership parts department.

Stick with the OEM Ford cable, they are by far the best cable you can put in the car. It should only take a little modification of the cable to fit with a firewall adjuster. I reccommend Maximum Motorsports for their Quadrant and adjuster... comes with instructions to use with the stock cable even.

Just purchase the Steeda quadrant and firewall adjuster separate.
Don't use a aftermarket clutch cable as they are poor quality and have a tendency to snap and stretch on us mustang owners.ChillPhatCat
is correct definitley use a stock OEM Ford clutch cable as they are
the best quality and will last.I would recommend getting your stock
OEM clutch cable from your local Ford dealership parts department.
It's not that hard to install just make sure you adjust it correctly
and double check your work.To install this you will have to remove
your drivers seat to have enough room to install it.
Also before you go hammering on your car after your clutch is installed
make sure you break your new clutch in first then have fun with it.

I did the Steeda Quadrant and firewall adjuster plus the cable and I haven't had any issues with it so far that i am aware of, but had i looked through some of the past posts on it I probably would have just stuck with OEM cable.

You can swap the quadrant with the seat in still but it's a PITA so probably easier to remove the seat as suggested.

I did it with the seat in because I didn't have enough leverage to get the back two bolts on my seat out... mine are on there tight!

I studied pictures of the stock quadrant for about 10 mins to familiarize myself and my hands with the task (you're pretty much in the blind with the seat in place). With a flat head screwdriver and 5 mins on my back in an awkward position, I was able to manuever the old quadrant out without breaking it and after that, the aftermarket one was a snap to put in. It's certainly not an impossible task with seat in, but it wouldn't be the way to do it for somebody with back problems or no flexibility.

I couldn't fit under the dash so,I had to remove my drivers seat.
The install was simplified by removing the drivers seat.
My drivers seat was obviously never taken out of my car and my
driver seat bracket snapped and I had to weld it to fix it instead
of purchasing a new driver seat bracket.
With the aftermarket adjustable clutch cables it's hit or miss really.
Some stretch or snap and some don't! I still highly recommend the
stock OEM Ford clutch cable as it is the strongest and most
durable. As long as you adjust your clutch cable correctly you
will be fine.
