I'm at the point with my '66 Mustang coup that I either have to fix the loose/much play in the PS or sell the car. It is no fun driving it on highways - I'm all over the road. I have been told that there are rack-and-pinion conversion kits that can help. Any advise or recommendations?

Borgeson power steering box conversion kit #999023
Kit with steering shaft and several parts enableing you to remove all of the old factory power steering parts
Borgeson Saginaw Power steering pump upgrade because the old Ford pump won't have enough pressure to function properly
Save the original steering box. Do not cut off the shaft. The old factory boxes that were used on the power steering cars are a closer ratio box and have re-sell value because the Shelby "clone" or "replica" guys will buy them to put close ratio manual steering on their "resto" project.
If you are not stuck on keeping it stock original the Borgeson system is a good upgrade.
