Finally getting around to putting a rack and pinion in my T-bird. The turn radius is 2.5 turns, on the svo mustang it is 2.25 turns. This according to autozones online book. Is it worth it to put a mustang rack and pinion in the tbird? How involved would this be? Would it be a straight replacement or would I have to pull the steering column? Am planning to road race this eventually and think the 2.25 turn radius might be a little better?
