Rack Limiters

Alright so I was told by a few people of a horrible binding in the car when reversing and turning the wheel. Me and a friend found that the rims are actually grabbing the lower control arm enough to cause it to stop the car and then hop when the rim moves a little. This is actually a relief because I was told it could have been suspension or something with the 5 lug set up. My question is this, where do I find rack limiters, and when I do I assume installing them wont be difficult? Thanks in advance!

i would just add one limiter to each side and then see if that solves your problem before i added all three at once.
put the limiters in start the car turn the wheel and if it touches put another one in.

another thought..... is you could also grind a little off of your lower arms to see if that helps first before you install the limiters.
or by grinding a little off the lower arms you won't need as many limiters, and every limiter you install reduces your turning radius. jat

Thats true, I am not really worried about the turning circle, it was never great with the 17x9s, and I doubt will ever be great. I have grown used to it, but if I toss in 2 limiters and can get away with some grinding I will probably do a combo of both!

I believe Almost Stock is also quite knowledgable with the limiters (he's posted some good info before).

Good luck.

Your Stock Rack should already have 1 set installed, so if you add 1 more per side you should be good to go, they come in different thicknesses too, I have a list of P/Ns somewhere, will see if I can find them.

Shaker, I don't know that his rack will have any already (were they not originally used from the factory for the larger wheels, which came after '89?. I believe that is the case.).
