I bought a replacement electric fan motor for the radiator fan. I took the clip off the motor shaft and expected the fan blades would just slide off but that did not happen at all. I tried tapping it off but it appears to be pressed on to the motor shaft. I looked around but could only turn up a old thread somewhere where someone said you can't seperate the fan blades and that you have to replace the whole thing as a unit.
If that is the case what kind of cruel joke is it to sell a replacement fan motor if you can't replace it?
I bought the motor on bay for $60 and can't return it and a new fan assembly would run me $100. I'm going to try and use a drill and a dremel to drill the shaft out I guess. I have a shop press if that'd help in pressing it on the new motor. Has anyone ever replaced the fan motor on a 95 gt? If so can you help me out and tell me how you did it? Thanks for any help because this is ridiculous.
