My sons 5.0 had a radiator leak . His is 5 speed manual trans. My friend had a 5.0 radiator from an automatic. I was told that they were the same except for the trans cooler fittings .Radiators foot print is the same but it seems to be leaking from the trans cooler fittings. Now for the stupid question do these have to be plugged up? If so what size plug or bolt do I need ? Can they be un-threaded from the radiator and plugged that way? None of the bolts I have seem to fit the thread in the fittings. Help / advice please.
