Ok, so my radiator isn't the greatest thing in the world. I wanna get a new one, but being in school makes me poor. Is there a nice or pretty decent radiator out there thats not really expensive but nice? I'm also wondering about fitment. I notice my electric fan is really close to my water pump pulley and I'm wondering if a bigger radiator is gonna cause problems with that. Thanks for any info.

How about a 3 core copper/brass radiator for $180 made by GDI. The Autozone P/N is 433138. I have one and the fit & performance is very good.

What kinda electric fan you got?

I have a 3.8L v6 taurus fan on my LX; I pulled the 3-core from the GT and put the fan on it...wouldn't clear the water pump pulley - about 1/4-1/2" too much if I remember correctly. I ended up pulling it and going to O'Reilly's for a stock replacement 2 core for $117 after taxes....car runs fine, cools fine - Keep in mind though that this is my stock longblock 90 5.0. If I would have had the money for a Griffin or something, I probably would have went that route, but the 2 core from O'Reilly's is direct fit and has provided me w/ good results for the past month or so that I've had it:nice:

I second that.
I had one for several years, and it worked very well, even for the stoker.

The motion is raised! I have that same radiator sitting in my garage. It's going in over the winter. :D I can't wait for the lower coolant temperatures + I am going to use the Auto Trans cooler as a cheap oil cooler to help lower my oil temps.

I am very interested in how the cooler affects the oil temps. I have been thinking about doing this for a while, but never got around to it.
My oil temps are not high enough as it is (I only get to 195F at full hot), but I would like to know if warm up time significantly decreases.
PLEASE let us know some before and after info on oil temps. I would love to hear how this works out for you.

I still need to purchase the Oil Filter adaptor kit. Then I can plumb the lines / hook everything up to the radiator (once I install it) and I'll be good to go! I'll also be able to install an oil temp gauge so I can get all of the readings that we need to determine the effects both ways. The only problem is that spring is a few months away. I can do some testing in my garage during the frozen months but those readings might be off because the car will be stationary.

I'll surely keep everyone updated once I have the project completed.
