Alright i need a new radiator, but i cant afford spending more than like 250 on one. anyone have any suggestions? i found a ford racing one for 270 on summit (part # FMS-M-8005-C ) but it says for transmission type auto? will this still work on my 5 spd? also is this fan any good? Summit part # PRO-67015. thanks

they say auto tranny type because it has an automatic transmission cooler built into the side of it. yes you can use it but its ot necessary. even if you are running an auto transmission (which you are not). and if you are on a budget what is wrong with a stock replacement radiator? i ran one on asupercharged car for a while and never had any problems out of it. and that fan more than likely will work, but i dont recomened them. you are better off getting a junk yard lincoln fan. or one off of a sn-95 car.

I have a 3 core copper/brass radiator form autozone. I highly recommend them. and at about $200, it is cheaper than most other high performance radiators. Part number is 433138.

I have seen the same radiator for $182, but by the time you add the shipping charges, it isn't any cheaper.

See http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2001/10/radiator/ for a review of the GDI 3 core copper/brass radiator.

If anyone goes with the parts store HD radiators (presumed to be 3 core rad's), check the radiator before you buy. Some folks are finding two core 'HD' radiators when they open boxes. It seems what constitutes HD has changed recently.
