Radio has no volume.

1998 base v6 stock radio and cd player. Everything turns on CD works fine. If I turn it all the to max I can hear the radio clear but very low volume. The car has been sitting since 2009

I would check the wires and plugs and hope to find something easy to fix. It sounds like the amp is shot or not connected well either in the head unit or an external one.

Thank you. someone at sometime has tried to work on this thing. they messed up the releases on the radio, I had to remove the entire front of the console to get the radio out.pieces are broken. I am just going to put a pioneer radio in with a cd and replace the original cd with a cubby hole
