I am replacing the radio in my 1986 Ford Mustang LX (putting a Pioneer DEH-2700 CD Player in) the previous owner had put a sony radio in or tried to atleast, and I have 2 questions

1. i found some fuses on the red and yellow power wires, were inline fuses stock or were thoes added after?

AND

2. On the Red power wire has a Small black box labeled Sony, does anybody know what the black box might be? could it be a noise filter? or voltage regulator?

the black box is a inline filter, and most stereos come with fuses inline already.
