How would I go about removing paint without removing the color of my car lol

depends on what kind of paint you ran over, and what kind of paint you have on your car.

Did the same thing with a rental car. White car, black spray paint can = baaaaaaad. All I needed was a little acetone or paint thinner and it wiped right off... but it was only on the car about 20 minutes, too. The effects of the chemicals? I didn't care cause it was a rental LOL.

Also - if you had a good layer of wax on your car before you hit the can, you can probably get it off by using a clay bar. I had to do that a couple years ago when I ran through a paint puddle (no kidding) and got paint on my car.

Acetone Works great. Dont rub it on though just dab the surface.

My car is burgundy, I ran over a can of white spray paint. Needless to say, it was everywhere, especially the rear valance. I didn't have the confidence to remove it myself, so I took it to a detailer.

wetsand it with like 2000 grit or they make little bars like a wet stone that are for sanding clearcoat

i could be wrong but i heard that the original paint on our cars didnt come with a clear coat.....
so like posted before it would depend on the paint on your car

some foxes did come with a clearcoat but i think it was only the 93's and up...and only some of the 93's were clear coat. Most were single stage so i wouldnt just start sanding away! good luck man

well it should just wipe off the chrome bling, but i agree with the acetone, just dont rub it in. also if there is light specks and "overspray" you can easily claybar them off without harming the paint whatsoever.
