I'm sure nobody cares, but yeah I took some random pics of some of the junk around the house, lol. It dawned on me that I have no direct side shots of my car, or from the front, so now I feel like whoring. I don't think I've ever posted pics of my Ranger or Smoker-10 .... so here goes. (btw, I suck at taking pictures)

Here's the Splash ....

Nice! You probably know that you need to get rid of the 4x4 look and while you are at it get some new headlights/side markers/fog lights. I noticed you have some window wind reflector thingeeis. How do you like them? Where did you get them? Do they interfere with closing the door with the windows up? Thanks.

Thanks guys. No joke Paul. I need to get rid of a couple, lol.

I know about the 4x4 & HL things. My fiance is getting me the HL's for my B-day ... & I'm still contemplating on what springs / plates to get.

As far as the wind deflectors, they were on the car when I bought it. I really like them, but I need to get some new ones. They are cracked where I guess they were bumped/hit by the PO. And yes, the doors shut just fine with the windows up.

Thanks. The Alero is not "technically" mine, though. I just put 71K miles on an '03 Alero in 3 years. It's the company ride.

That is a trim for the Ranger (such as XL, XLT, etc.). They were probably the least produced of them all. All of them have the fiberglass flareside bed. I don't know about the 4x4's, but the 2WD ones were lowered 1"-2" from the factory (mine is now 4" in front & 6.5" rear ). The Splash came with chrome rims (which I'll be putting back on). They're the ones that are sought after because of their looks .... and lots of people are doing 5.0 / 2.3T swaps to them.

I think the spash was a 2wd only thing?

I have never seen or heard of a factory 4x4 splash.

Yeah, there are 4x4's. Splash's were only 93-99. 98-99 were a different body style, and they did not have the decal packages.

I also feel like posting a pic in memory of a fellow RPS member. He passed away before this truck was complete .....

sure that 4x4 wasnt swapped in??? looks like it has a solid axle under it...the ranger never had one factory. Not saying its not possible from the factory, just I never seen or heard of a 4x4 splash from the factory.

You're right, it was swapped in. It has a Dana 44 solid axle. But IT WAS a twin traction beam 4x4 before that. The reason you've not heard of them ... is ... well, there's not many 4x4 Splash's out there. A friend of mine in HS had one, though. I KNOW there are 4x4 Splash's. The Splash was offered 93-99 .... but the 4x4 Splash was only offered starting in 94.

Oh, pleasehelp ... here you go ....

I love those rims......I bought a set of used replica Cobra r's , chrome, for now just because I can't stand the tri-bar look anymore........I think if I don't get these painted in Opal Frost I will get black rims as well.....Looks good.

cool, learn something new everyday.

They are some of the sharper factory rangers out there...and with those cobras they look nice.
