It is interesting to note that the '74 Mustang II has the gas filler below body line,
and ’75-‘’78 had it above.
Presumably for addition of V8 accessory tank.

I have only seen two live Mustang II's here in Florida. One was a nice Cobra T Top perfect. Seen it in traffic. Some old guy must have had it forever. The second was at a car show and it was just in good condition.You guys are lucky to have one. I would just worry that they would rust away in the garage. Enzio opens the garage door and there is a rusted out anchor sitting there
 
They probably are silver. I don't think there was another option with the Mach 1 lettering. That's because I believe all Machs had the black treatment below the bottom body line as well as the tail light panel. Please feel free to correct me if anyone has different info.
