Random Technical Questions Thread

I am probably not the only one here who has questions from time to time that don't need alot of explaining, just a quick answer and then I can move on. Instead of opening a new thread for something that can be answered short and sweet, how about a dedicated thread for such questions? I think it's a good idea.

What do you guys think? Good idea? If not, we can lock this thread now.

I'll kick it off with a question I had today.

Has anyone tried to remove the paint on their car with a heat gun? Would it warp the sheet metal, I kind of think it would.

ihavent heard of a heat gun meathod of taking of paint before so its probably not a good idea

posts there wont have to be anything really complicated - surveys and stuff too

Heat gun won't get hot enough to get the paint off. Have to get it off with abrasive (sanding, blasting) or chemical paint stripper.
