I did this to my '86 vert today, and noticed as I bolted my wheels on that the little hub things on the Ranger axles are smaller than the hubs up front on the SN95 spindles I've got. Basically the hub doesn't fit snugly into the center hole on the wheel, even though the lug pattern matches. Anybody else notice this? What are the chances of it causing a vibration of something? Is there a spacer I can get?

SN95 rear disc with ranger axles....you need a 2.5" inside diameter spacer to make up the difference. Any muffler shop can cut you a couple from scrap pipes laying around, 3/8"-1/2" should be fine.

I just ordered wheel spacers for my ranger axles :bang:

I guess i'll need to cut up a couple of these spacers.

just make sure you are tightening the wheels in a star pattern and doing it in stages and you should be fine. if you notice them unbalanced after than, go for a homeade spacer, or get a 1/8in mm wheel spacer, the new ones are hubcentric (that is what your problem is called, they are not hubcentric)

You've got my situation mixed up - and MM does not make 1/8" hub centric spacers.

I ordered MM's 1/2" hub centric spacers with 3" studs, to be used with my ranger axles. Ranger axles having a smaller hub than stock axles, and this would defeat some of the purpose of hub centric spacers. Hopefully i can make up for the gap with the above 2.5" ID exhaust piping as hub spacers.

What are the drums off of?

Told the guy at the muffler shop i needed 2.5" ID and he cut me a couple of 2.5" OD...damnit,lol. Guess i can't bitch for free...but now i gotta go back.

I'm just finishing up the rear with ranger axles and sn95 rear disc...got the drivers side line to cut and re-flare.

I also got away with using the stock sn95 rear disc backing plates with the ranger axles... instead of spending the $150 on the north cobra brackets. :nice: Easy mod by cutting them to slide over the axle tubes.
